June Playlist

I know, I know. It's almost the end of June and I still haven't put up my playlist of this month. Well now I have. This month it's all about a mix to be honest. It's a mix of Indie rock/pop and oldies combined with some oldskool hiphop and modern rap. I really love this playlist, as it gives me great comfort and pleasure in times when I need it. Music is so important in my daily life and I honestly wouldn't know what I would do without music!

Red Bull - UEFA situation

Tuesday night,  a rather discomforting notification popped up on my phone. The UEFA issued the following statement: Salzburg and Leipzig admitted into UEFA Champions League. The two clubs who are part of arguably the most hated owner in European Football are allowed to play in the elite league of UEFA: The Champions League. Feelings of discomfort, anger and sadness entered my mind and heart, and I just thought: Is modern football winning this battle?

Season review in 10: #1 VVV-Venlo - SC Cambuur

The season has ended and most football is dead for the summer. It's one of the most horrible weeks for me, because I bloody love football. For me personally it was a great season, with my team being promoted as champions to the 1st tier. I thought it would be a great idea - yes, I genuinely thought so - that I would pick the 10 matches that defined my season. Here's number #1: VVV-Venlo - SC Cambuur.

Racism changed my identity

I promise you, I'm a fun guy to chill with it, but lately I've some serious thoughts about my identity in relation to racism and in particular the racism I experienced in my life. I want to talk about this, not only for my own good, but also to let men and women in the same position know, that they are not the only one experiencing these troubles. I'm going to brutally honest about my feelings and it's one of the most difficult things for me to talk about. So yeah, 'ere it goes, lads and lasses.
