Resetting my iPod

Everytime I tidy up my room - so that's once in 4,5 months - I miraculously find my iPod. This has been going on for several years now and I don't exactly no why I don't use it more often. Well actually that's not true. Since I got an iPhone, the iPod hasn't been used and the introduction of streamingapps like Spotify and Apple Music have basically killed my iPod love. But no more, my old flame has re-appeared in my life and I intend to make the most of it.
My iPod is an iPod Classic 160 GB. Loads of space. I just listened to a few songs and I noticed another problem. I think this is very relatable. I always put too much music on my iPod, thinking I will listen to all the music at some point. But when I'm actually intending listening to music, I seem to be shuffle for 10 minutes before I come to a decent song. Hence the maltreatment of my iPod.

My iPod has endured a lot. I tried smashing after losing the WC 2010 final, WC 2014 semi final, getting relegated with my hometown team. Guess what? Still working, innit.

So I found the little bugger and I want to use it more often. Get back into the iPod and out of the iPhone (well music). One thing I need to do, is get rid of all my music and put music on it that will actually keep me excited and motivated to use the iPod. So that's what I have done.

These are some of the artists which I have put on my iPod for my trip to Krakow. Some artists have been on my iPod for years and others have only come on to it, but they are all artists and songs I will listen to. Instead of constant shuffling.

  • Oasis
  • Blur
  • Pulp
  • Damon Albarn
  • The Good, The Bad and The Queen
  • Bonobo
  • The Who
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Asgeir Trausti
  • Jake Bugg
  • Happy Mondays
  • DMA's
  • Arctic Monkeys
  • Blink 182
  • The Jam
  • The Stone Roses
  • The Verve
  • The Libertines
  • Brother Ali
  • Beastie Boys
  • Franz Ferdinand
  • Atmosphere
  • Biffy Clyro
  • Kaiser Chiefs
  • Nas
  • Guerilla Radio
  • And more...

I also added three soundtracks to my iPod, because well. They are FIRE. Always take me back to more happy times. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 soundtrack, FIFA 2006 & FIFA 07 soundtrack. Massive tunes mate, shockingly good!

What are the first songs that go onto your iPod or phone?

  1. I thought I was the only one who find my Ipod every few months then I finally start using it. It's the only apple product I own and I still don't know why I don't use it.

    1. It's so strange though! I don't use it but when I 'find' it, I'm like: I HAVE TO USE IT haha. Glad I got it still though :)
