January Playlist

One of the things I've missed blogging about the most, probably is music. I love blogging about music and while I'm no expert whatsoever, I sure love talking about what I'm listening to and what I love about that music. One of the things I want to do consistently (oh boy...) is produce a playlist every month!

The New Year started and it's difficult for me to get into new music. Not that I don't like it, but it's just hard to find new music for my taste. So I went for a combination of new and older music, music that gives me motivation and inspiration to kill my goals this year.

I've highlighted a few artists in this post to let you all see why these are of great importance to me this january. Bear with me as I'm not very good with blogging about music or artists haha. Anyway, I hope it gives an insight on how I view particular artists and their music.

Brian Eno
Brian Eno's music is brilliant if you ask me. I'm not sure how class his music, but I think minimalistic is a good genre to put him in. It's mysterious and so interesting, I want to know more about it and that's so awesome. His new 'single' Reflection (54 minutes) came out this week and I've been playing it non-stop, awesome. He's also well known for inventing the Windows '95 sound. Yes, I know fam.

DMA's
There has been a void feeling in my life since Oasis left the scene. I mean fair enough there are plenty of bands who say they are like Oasis, but are they really? I think Arctic Monkeys comes close to the music, attitude and fame, but Alex Turner is getting a bit big for his boots lately. No matter, I love that music though. But then I found this bloody awesome Australian band (Yes Oz) and OMD - this can either mean Oh My Days or O Mon Dieu - they are fantastic. They have that Oasis mentality, the songs are brilliant, their attitude. It''s just fantastic that such a thing is possible in this day and age, that makes me happy.

Live forever
As you may have noticed, I'm a massive Oasis fan and 'Live Forever' has become my song. It's not only one of the best songs I've ever heard, but I can also identify with it a lot. My struggle is deep and tough, but in the end my soul will never die. I'm going to live forever!

And my playlist of course!
