5 podcasts that are brilliant

I love listening music, but I also love listening to people. Talking about nonsense, but also serious things. Imagine how I felt when I discovered podcasts! - note to myself, I need to make an episode again, you silly sausage - I thought it would be a good idea to share my favourite podcasts every now and again! Here are 5 of my favourite podcasts of the moment!

Mike's Open Journal
This is one the most great things about my life. Blogging has gives me great opportunities and one of them is meeting amazing people. As you all know, I'm really passionate about my own mental health and mental health awareness. This podcast does exactly this. It tells the story of different people every episode and they are people like you and me. I've been on the podcast 3 times already I guess and it really is very good. Mental health problems, issues, but also things that you've learnt during your mental health journey. Talking about meet ups, life advice and lifestyle. It's an outlet for people, to talk about anything and everything. It's so refreshing, inspiring, educating and encouraging. Definitely listen to this one!
The Non-League Football Show
Okay y'all know that I'm really addicted to football. I'm just really fanatic. Football is so much more than just the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga or Serie A. The most raw essentials of football can be found in the so called Non-League. In England this is everything beneath League Two. From the National League and lower. Hearing personal stories of managers, clubs and volunteers is just amazing and makes me love the beautiful game even more. Every single time I listen. There's something magical about Non-League and I want you to know about it. Get in!

Shoot the Defence
Another football podcast. This is a brilliant podcast, talking about everything football related. Not only about the games and tactics and all that malarkey. It talks about football culture and the people behind football. Especially the KV episodes make me laugh so much. Really amazing and the banter is on point. If you are interested, you should definitely check this out!

Monday Morning Podcast
Comedians are life. Bill Burr is my go to comedian when I'm feeling blue or sad. He is just so raw and honest. I love it. His podcast makes me laugh so much and he talks about all the things. NFL, NBA, NHL. But also the presidential elections or how his girlfriend make him do stupid things. About dogs and cats. A variety of topics and I love that. He's one of my favourite Americans and I might listen to another podcast episode when I finish writing this.
The Bugle
Audio news paper for a global world, it's a great weekly show. They talk about all different topics throughout the world from different places in the world. It's very amusing and gives you a better insight in some topics. It's raw, honest, genuine and funny. John Oliver pops by now and again and it makes it even more funny. It's basically all about funny comments on the world's most important - and less important news. Great for a laugh!

Have you listened to one of these podcasts? What's your favourite podcast?

  9. I've only just started getting into Podcasts but am finding it pretty difficult to concentrate on what they're saying, and work at the same time. I love Serial though and am part way through Undisclosed at the moment xx
